I wanted to take a moment and welcome you to the Farmington Central District #265 website. Our Board of Education, administration and staff are working together to continue Farmington Central’s reputation as an excellent school system. Farmington Central hopes to grow and expand as families learn what District #265 can offer.

 

We are extremely proud of our school campus. Opened in 2004 our students have opportunities available that many others school districts do not offer. The Board of Education has strived to make our schools conducive to learning. From small class sizes to offering a wide range of educational opportunities, District #265 students are successful in their educational endeavors. This is a direct reflection upon the excellent teaching staff in District #265. All of our staff is dedicated towards the betterment of our students.

 

The District has made curricular upgrades a goal in Farmington Central. In grades Kindergarten through Eighth grade the District has been implementing “best practices” in teaching reading to students. All staff members receive on-going training on the use of these teaching strategies in their classrooms. The District feels that a proven, researched-based program can help insure students are reading at grade level. We are very excited about the capabilities and the positive affects these changes are having on our students.

 

One of the District’s goals is to provide access and opportunities to utilize technology to our students and staff. The technology curriculum has been expanded in both in the Junior High and High School. In addition, multiple mobile labs are available to classrooms across grade levels. It is imperative that both students and staff have access and the ability to utilize a wide range of technology. 
 

I will close by stating that the Board of Education, Administration, and staff are constantly working towards improving our school district. Our pledge to students and community provide an excellent education to our students in an economical manner.
